Smokin’ Pulled Pork Sandwich
Low, Slow, and Loaded with Flavour
Some meals are worth the wait, and this is one of them. Slow-cooked until tender and packed with rich, smoky flavour, this pulled pork sandwich brings serious comfort to any summer day. Pile it high, add your favourite toppings, and dig in.
Preparation Time: 8–10 hours (slow cook)
Ingredients:- 3–4 lb pork shoulder
- 1/2 cup broth (vegetable or chicken)
- 1 bottle PC® Bacon & Maple BBQ Sauce
- no name® Hamburger Buns
- Shredded cabbage
- Additional toppings of choice (pickles, onions, etc.)
- Place the pork shoulder into a slow cooker and pour in the broth to keep it tender while it cooks. Set it to low and let it cook slowly for 8–10 hours, until the meat is soft and easy to pull apart.
- Once ready, remove the pork and shred it using two forks. Return it to the slow cooker and pour in the PC® Bacon & Maple BBQ Sauce, mixing well so every bite is coated in flavour. Let it warm through for a few more minutes.
- Spoon the pulled pork onto a toasted hamburger bun, then top with shredded cabbage and any extras you like for crunch and added flavour. Serve warm and enjoy every bite.
