Stay connected digitally with friends and loved ones

It's important to practice physical distancing during these times, which means avoiding crowds and gatherings and staying at home as much as possible. While we can't meet face-to-face, we can always connect with our friends and family through technology! Here are ways we can stay in touch in the digital age:

1. Use video chatting apps and check-in with friends and family regularly
Taking time to Facetime can help us feel connected with one another, even though we are not physically close. Seeing your loved ones faces and facial expressions screen can help you feel closer to them, as opposed to just speaking via phonecall.

2. Use social media like Facebook and Instagram to stay connected
We live in an age where not having a Facebook page is like not having a phone. There's an abundance of social media out there such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat. Sharing your day-to-day activities on these social platforms can let your friends and family know what you're up to!

3. Play online games with friends and family
Playing games via mobile, console, or PC with other people can help bring about a sense of comradery and teamwork! So go ahead, start a team and game away!

4. Start or participate in a social media challenge and tag your followers
There's been an influx of social media at-home challenges that people are taking part in. Whether it's sharing a photo each day or seeing how many push-ups you can do, there's always someone up for a challenge!

5. Have a movie night watch-along
Use your favorite video-calling platform and have someone share their screen with a movie! Sit back, relax, grab some popcorn and enjoy your movie night.

6. Share your daily at-home routine online
What's your personal "quarantine routine"? Is it very much different from your day-to-day habits, or has it remained mostly the same? Sharing your routine can also help inspire others to pick up new hobbies and habits!

7. Start a blog
Are you an expert in something or do you enjoy voicing your opinion? Why not share those thoughts to the world in an online blog!
