Main Course: Sweet and sour sauce

Servings: 1.5 cups

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes


  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup vinegar
  • ¾ cup water
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard

Directions for Preparation

  1. Place all the ingredients in a medium saucepan. Mix well.
  2. Turn the burner to medium and simmer a few minutes until well combined.
  3. Let sit a few minutes.
  4. Store in the fridge in a sealed container.

Cook the meat in the sauce or coat the cooked items in this sauce right before serving. This all-purpose sauce is great for wings, ribs, meatballs, chicken and pork.
