Main Course: Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Thighs

Ingredients

A healthier way to make juicy chicken thighs with crispy seasoned skin.

  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika or chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried green herbs like oregano, basil, or parsley
  • 8 chicken thighs with bones and skin, excess fat and skin cut away

Directions for Preparation

  1. Place all the seasoning in a large plastic bag. Seal the bag and shake.
  2. To that bag, add 4 chicken thighs, seal the bag, and shake again. Repeat for the remaining 4 thighs.
  3. Grease the air fryer tray with cooking oil.
  4. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook the chicken in 2 batches.
  5. Place the chicken thighs in the air fryer, skin side down. Cook on 375 °F for 12 minutes. 
  6. Turn your chicken thighs skin side up and cook for 10 – 12 minutes more. Cook for a few more minutes until desired level of crispness.
  7. Serve with steamed veggies and rice or potatoes for a balanced meal.
