Salad: Classic Coleslaw

This homemade coleslaw recipe uses basic ingredients and pairs with almost any meal.


  • 1 package (397 grams) cabbage coleslaw
  • 2 apples, grated (optional)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions for Preparation

  1. Place the first two ingredients in a large bowl.  
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the dressing ingredients.
  3. Stir in the dressing until the slaw is well coated. Let sit at least 15 minutes in the fridge before serving.
